- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 1/4 cups heavy whipping cream (divided)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar

Instructions
- In a small saucepan, heat 3/4 cup heavy cream over medium heat until it begins to simmer (do not boil).
- Remove from heat and pour the hot cream over the chocolate chips in a heatproof bowl. Let sit for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth and glossy.
- Pour the chocolate mixture into the prepared pie crust and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set.
- In a separate bowl, beat the remaining 1/2 cup heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract with a hand mixer until stiff peaks form.
- Spread the whipped cream evenly over the chilled chocolate filling. Garnish with chocolate shavings if desired and serve chilled.
