- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2–3 bananas)
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- For frosting: 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs, vanilla, and mashed bananas until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool completely.
- For the frosting, beat together cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Spread frosting over cooled bars, slice, and serve.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add chopped walnuts or chocolate chips to the batter.
