Description

Cheesy Garlic Butter Linguine with Beef, Sausage, and Spinach is a rich, savory pasta dish combining tender linguine noodles with seasoned ground beef and sausage, sautéed spinach, and a creamy garlic butter cheese sauce. Perfect for a cozy dinner that’s both comforting and satisfying.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz linguine pasta
  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb Italian sausage (mild or spicy, casing removed)
  • 3 cups fresh spinach
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and sausage until browned and cooked through. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the butter and let it melt, then add the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Reduce heat to low and stir in mozzarella and Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Add a splash of pasta water if needed to thin the sauce.
  6. Stir in fresh spinach and cook until wilted, about 2 minutes.
  7. Add the cooked linguine to the skillet and toss everything together until evenly coated. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • You can substitute linguine with fettuccine, spaghetti, or penne.
  • Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter version.
  • Add mushrooms or sun-dried tomatoes for extra depth of flavor.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days and reheated gently with a splash of water or cream.
