Ingredients
Scale
- 1 loaf French bread or Italian bread
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 6 oz spaghetti (about half a box)
- 1 cup marinara or pasta sauce
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with foil.
- Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Drain and mix with marinara sauce and Parmesan cheese.
- Slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise and hollow out some of the inside to make room for the filling.
- In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning. Brush onto the cut sides of the bread.
- Place the bread halves on the baking sheet. Fill each half with the spaghetti mixture, then top with shredded mozzarella.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly and edges are golden brown.
- Remove from oven, let cool slightly, then slice and garnish with parsley if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
- You can use leftover spaghetti to make this even quicker.
- Add cooked sausage or meatballs for a meatier version.
- Use garlic Texas toast for extra flavor and crunch.
- Great for parties or as a fun family dinner option.
