- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
- 1 cup toffee bits (such as Heath)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, mix melted butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until well combined.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips, shredded coconut, and toffee bits.
- Spread the dough evenly in the prepared pan.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean.
- Cool completely before cutting into bars.
Notes
- For thicker bars, bake in a smaller pan and increase bake time slightly.
- Add chopped nuts like pecans or walnuts for extra crunch.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days or freeze for longer storage.
