Instructions

- In a large bowl, cream the butter and powdered sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
- Add cornstarch and flour gradually, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them slightly apart.
- Flatten each ball slightly with a fork.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the edges are just beginning to turn golden.
- Cool completely on a wire rack before serving or storing.
Notes
- You can flavor them with lemon or almond extract instead of vanilla.
- Dust with extra powdered sugar after baking for a festive touch.
