Description
Creamy Garlic Butter Lobster Tails are a luxurious seafood dish featuring tender lobster meat broiled to perfection and smothered in a rich, garlicky butter sauce. This restaurant-worthy recipe is surprisingly simple and makes for an unforgettable dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 lobster tails
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the broiler and line a baking sheet with foil.
- Using kitchen scissors, cut down the center of the top shell of each lobster tail, stopping at the base. Gently lift the meat and rest it on top of the shell.
- Season the lobster meat with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in heavy cream and lemon juice. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Spoon half of the garlic butter sauce over the lobster tails.
- Broil lobster tails for 8–10 minutes, or until meat is opaque and lightly browned on top. Baste once during cooking with pan juices.
- Remove from oven and drizzle with remaining sauce. Garnish with parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
Notes
- Use kitchen shears for easy shell cutting and presentation.
- Don’t overcook lobster; it becomes rubbery when overdone.
- Serve with mashed potatoes, steamed veggies, or over pasta to soak up the sauce.
- Substitute half-and-half for heavy cream for a lighter version.
