Description

Creamy Garlic Butter Shrimp Bowl with Herb Rice is a flavorful and elegant dish featuring tender shrimp tossed in a rich garlic butter cream sauce, served over a bed of fluffy herb-infused rice. It’s quick enough for weeknights but delicious enough for a special dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill or basil

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add shrimp and season with salt and pepper. Cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Return shrimp to the pan and toss to coat in the creamy garlic butter sauce. Cook for 1–2 more minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, stir fresh herbs into the cooked rice.
  6. Spoon herb rice into bowls, top with creamy garlic butter shrimp, and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Use jasmine or basmati rice for extra aroma.
  • Add spinach or mushrooms to the sauce for extra nutrition.
  • Adjust creaminess by thinning with a splash of milk or broth if needed.
