- 12 oz fettuccine pasta
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook fettuccine according to package directions. In the last 3 minutes of cooking, add broccoli florets to the boiling water. Drain and set aside.
- Season chicken slices with salt, pepper, and optional Italian seasoning.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and cook chicken until golden and fully cooked, about 6–8 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese and cook until sauce is creamy and smooth.
- Return chicken to the skillet, add fettuccine and broccoli, and toss everything together until well coated and heated through.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- You can substitute half-and-half for a lighter version of the sauce.
- Use rotisserie chicken to save time on prep.
- Add a pinch of nutmeg for extra depth in the Alfredo sauce.
