Description

Creamy Garlic Sauce Potatoes are tender, golden potatoes smothered in a rich, garlicky cream sauce. Perfect as a comforting side dish for any meal, they pair beautifully with roasted meats or can stand on their own.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs baby potatoes, halved
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp paprika (optional)
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Toss halved potatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, and paprika (if using) and spread on a baking sheet. Roast for 25–30 minutes or until golden and fork-tender.
  3. While potatoes roast, heat a saucepan over medium heat. Add a bit of olive oil and sauté the garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  5. Stir in Parmesan cheese and cook until melted and the sauce thickens slightly, about 2–3 minutes.
  6. Remove roasted potatoes from the oven and transfer to a serving dish.
  7. Pour the creamy garlic sauce over the potatoes and gently toss to coat.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • For a deeper flavor, roast the garlic with the potatoes and mash it into the sauce.
  • Swap Parmesan with Gruyère or white cheddar for a cheesy twist.
