Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs chicken wings, split and tips removed
- 1 tablespoon baking powder (aluminum-free)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup sriracha sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
- Chopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place a wire rack on top.
- Pat wings dry with paper towels. Toss with baking powder, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Arrange wings in a single layer on the wire rack. Bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden.
- While the wings cook, prepare the sauce: in a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Add honey, sriracha, soy sauce, and vinegar. Stir and simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Once wings are cooked, transfer to a large bowl and toss with the sauce until well coated.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
- Use an air fryer at 400°F (200°C) for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway, for even crispier wings.
- Adjust sriracha to taste for more or less heat.
- Serve with a side of ranch or blue cheese dip to balance the spice.
