- 1 1/2 cups milk (or dairy-free alternative)
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup chopped fresh or frozen strawberries
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- Pinch of salt
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream or coconut cream (for serving)
- Extra strawberries and a drizzle of honey for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Lightly grease the inside of a small slow cooker (1.5 to 2-quart size).
- Add oats, milk, water, strawberries, honey or maple syrup (if using), vanilla, cinnamon, and salt to the crock pot. Stir to combine.
- Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 2.5–3 hours, until oats are tender and creamy.
- Stir well before serving. Divide into two bowls and drizzle with cream.
- Top with additional strawberries and honey if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
- Use frozen strawberries for convenience—no need to thaw first.
- For thicker oatmeal, reduce liquid slightly or cook uncovered for the last 30 minutes.
- Add a spoonful of chia seeds or flaxseeds for extra nutrition.
