- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce (plus extra for drizzling)
- Optional: flaky sea salt for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place pie crust in a 9-inch pie pan and crimp the edges. Set aside.
- In a medium saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- Add cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Spread half of the brownie batter into the prepared pie crust.
- Drizzle caramel sauce evenly over the batter.
- Spoon the remaining brownie batter on top and gently spread to cover the caramel.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the center is set and a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing. Drizzle with extra caramel and sprinkle with flaky sea salt if desired.
