  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • For the Sesame Dressing:
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce or tamari
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 small garlic clove, minced
  • 12 teaspoons sriracha (optional, for heat)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine green cabbage, red cabbage, carrots, green onions, cilantro, almonds, and sesame seeds.
  2. In a small bowl or jar, whisk together sesame oil, rice vinegar, soy sauce, maple syrup, lime juice, ginger, garlic, and sriracha (if using) until well blended.
  3. Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss well to coat evenly.
  4. Let the slaw sit for 10–15 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
