Flaky Chili Honey Feta Rolls are a sweet, savory, and spicy pastry delight. Filled with creamy feta cheese and drizzled with chili-infused honey, these golden, crispy rolls are wrapped in buttery puff pastry — perfect as an appetizer, brunch item, or snack.

- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 2 tablespoons cream cheese (optional, for creaminess)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon milk (for egg wash)
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional, for topping)
- Fresh thyme or oregano leaves (optional, for garnish)
For the Chili Honey:
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- Pinch of chili powder (optional for deeper heat)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, combine feta and cream cheese (if using) until well mixed.
- Unroll the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface. Cut into 4 or more equal rectangles.
- Place a spoonful of the cheese mixture along one edge of each rectangle and roll tightly into a log. Press edges to seal.
- Place rolls seam-side down on the baking sheet. Mix egg with milk and brush over the tops. Sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
- Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffy.
- While baking, heat honey in a small saucepan over low heat. Add red pepper flakes and chili powder. Let infuse for 2–3 minutes, then remove from heat.
- Once rolls are out of the oven, drizzle with warm chili honey and garnish with herbs. Serve warm.
Notes
- For a richer filling, add a bit of ricotta or mozzarella to the cheese mix.
- The chili honey can be made ahead and stored in a jar for up to a week.
- Make it spicier by adding fresh minced chili to the honey.
