Description
Crispy Doritos stuffed with gooey melted cheese, then fried to perfection, creating a crunchy, cheesy snack that’s hard to resist.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 bag Doritos (any flavor of your choice)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup grated mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together the cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika until well combined.
- Carefully make a small slit on the edge of each Dorito chip using a knife. Gently stuff the cheese mixture into each Dorito, making sure not to overfill.
- Set up a breading station: place the flour in one shallow dish, the beaten egg in another, and the bread crumbs in a third dish.
- Coat each stuffed Dorito in flour, then dip it into the egg, and finally roll it in the bread crumbs, pressing gently to ensure the crumbs stick.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the stuffed Doritos in batches, frying for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the fried Doritos from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch or salsa.
Notes
- For extra flavor, try using flavored Doritos, like Cool Ranch or Spicy Sweet Chili.
- Be cautious when frying, as the oil can splatter. Use tongs to carefully place the Doritos in the hot oil.
- These are best enjoyed fresh and crispy, but you can reheat them in the oven to maintain their crunch.
