Description

Decadent jumbo pasta shells stuffed with tender lobster meat in a rich garlic butter and cheese filling, baked to perfection and topped with a creamy sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 jumbo pasta shells
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 lb cooked lobster meat, chopped
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • For sauce: 2 tablespoons butter, 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour, 1 1/2 cups milk, 1/4 cup grated Parmesan, salt & pepper
  • Extra shredded mozzarella and parsley for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook jumbo pasta shells according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté garlic for 1–2 minutes. Add chopped lobster and cook for 2–3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. In a bowl, mix ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, parsley, and cooked lobster. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Fill each cooked shell with the lobster cheese mixture and arrange in a greased baking dish.
  5. To make the sauce, melt butter in a saucepan, stir in flour, and cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk and cook until thickened. Add Parmesan, season with salt and pepper, and stir until smooth.
  6. Pour sauce over the filled shells and sprinkle with extra mozzarella if desired.
  7. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes or until hot and bubbly. Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Use fresh or frozen cooked lobster — thaw completely if using frozen.
  • You can substitute with shrimp or crab if preferred.
  • Make ahead and refrigerate before baking for an easy dinner party dish.
