  • 1 lb smoked sausage or kielbasa, sliced into bite-sized rounds
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 12 oz pasta (fettuccine, penne, or your choice)
  • 2 tablespoons butter (for pasta)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (for pasta sauce)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons butter. Add sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 4–5 minutes.
  3. Add garlic and Italian seasoning to the sausage. Cook for another 1–2 minutes until fragrant. Remove sausage from pan and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, melt 2 more tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Cook for 3–4 minutes, then whisk in Parmesan cheese and black pepper until the sauce is smooth and thickened.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
  7. Return the sausage bites to the skillet and stir to combine with the pasta.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.
