Description
Garlic Butter Steak & Brie Melt on a Croissant is a decadent, restaurant-worthy sandwich packed with juicy steak, melty brie, and garlicky richness — all layered inside a flaky, buttery croissant for the ultimate comfort food experience.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 croissants, halved
- 8 oz ribeye or sirloin steak, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 oz brie cheese, sliced
- 1/4 cup caramelized onions (optional)
- Fresh arugula or baby spinach (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season steak slices with salt and pepper and sear for 1–2 minutes per side until just cooked. Remove from heat and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add butter and garlic. Stir until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add steak back to the pan and toss to coat in garlic butter.
- Preheat oven broiler or toaster oven. Place croissant halves cut side up on a baking sheet.
- Layer bottom half of each croissant with garlic butter steak, followed by brie slices, and caramelized onions if using.
- Broil for 1–2 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Add fresh greens if desired, then top with the other croissant halves. Serve immediately while warm.
Notes
- Use quality brie for optimal melt and flavor.
- For extra flavor, spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard on the croissant.
- Great with a side of fries or a light salad.
