Description

Garlic Lemon Butter Shrimp is a quick and elegant dish featuring tender shrimp sautéed in a rich garlic butter sauce with a splash of fresh lemon juice — perfect over pasta, rice, or on its own.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter over medium-high heat.
  3. Add shrimp and cook for 1–2 minutes per side, until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Stir in lemon juice, zest, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 1 minute.
  6. Return shrimp to the skillet, toss to coat in the sauce, and cook for another minute.
  7. Sprinkle with parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Serve over linguine, rice, or with crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
  • Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor.
  • Don’t overcook the shrimp — they should be just pink and tender.
