Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup Bisquick baking mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • Optional toppings: ketchup, mustard, pickles, chopped tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 9-inch pie plate.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and chopped onion until beef is browned and onion is soft. Drain excess fat.
  3. Season with salt and pepper, then spread the mixture evenly in the prepared pie plate.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the beef layer.
  5. In a bowl, whisk together Bisquick mix, milk, and eggs until smooth.
  6. Pour the batter over the beef and cheese in the pie plate.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is golden brown.
