Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 8 oz linguine pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium heat. Sear chicken for 5–6 minutes per side or until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add remaining butter and garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add lemon juice and zest. Stir and simmer for 1–2 minutes, scraping up any browned bits.
  5. Meanwhile, cook linguine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  6. Add cream to the skillet and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy.
  7. Add cooked linguine to the sauce and toss to coat.
  8. Slice the chicken and place on top of the pasta. Spoon lemon garlic butter sauce over the top. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
