Description

Louisiana Voodoo Fries are crispy, seasoned fries tossed in a spicy, flavorful wing sauce reminiscent of Wingstop’s famous Voodoo Wings—perfect as a snack or side dish with a kick.


Ingredients

  • 4 large russet potatoes, cut into fries
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup hot sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 tsp liquid smoke (optional)
  • Chopped green onions and parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Toss potato fries with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, salt, and pepper.
  2. Spread fries in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
  3. In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, honey, and liquid smoke. Stir and cook for 2–3 minutes until combined and slightly thickened.
  4. Transfer baked fries to a large bowl, pour the sauce over them, and toss to coat evenly.
  5. Garnish with chopped green onions and parsley. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, soak fries in cold water for 30 minutes before baking and pat dry thoroughly.
  • Adjust cayenne pepper and hot sauce amounts to control spice level.
  • Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping.
