Description
A flavorful and fun twist on traditional pizza, this Mexican pizza layers spiced ground beef, beans, cheese, and fresh toppings on a crispy tortilla base.

- 4 flour tortillas (6–8 inch)
- 1/2 pound ground beef or plant-based alternative
- 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
- 1/2 cup refried beans
- 1/2 cup salsa or enchilada sauce
- 1 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped tomatoes
- 1/4 cup sliced black olives
- 2 tablespoons chopped green onions
- Optional: sour cream, guacamole, jalapeños
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly toast tortillas in the oven or on a skillet until crisp.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Add taco seasoning and a splash of water, then simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Spread a layer of refried beans on two tortillas, then top with seasoned beef.
- Place another tortilla on top of each and spread with salsa or enchilada sauce.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over the top and add olives and tomatoes.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from oven, garnish with green onions, and add optional toppings as desired.
- Slice into quarters and serve warm.
Notes
- You can use tostada shells instead of tortillas for extra crunch.
- Swap ground beef for black beans or lentils for a vegetarian version.
- Customize with your favorite taco toppings like corn, avocado, or hot sauce.
