- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup crushed Oreos
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a medium bowl, mix buttermilk, beaten egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Add wet ingredients into the flour mixture and fold in crushed Oreos.
- Preheat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it.
- Pour 1/4 cup batter for each pancake and cook 2-3 minutes on each side until bubbly and set.
- For the cream cheese drizzle, blend together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and 2-3 tablespoons of milk until smooth and pourable.
- Drizzle over warm pancakes and serve immediately.
Notes
- For additional texture, fold in a few chopped Oreos alongside the crushed ones.
- Adjust the amount of milk in the cream cheese mixture for a thinner or thick frosting-like texture.
- Pair with strawberries or bananas for a fresh twist.
