Description

Peanut Butter Cup Dump Cake is a rich, gooey, and irresistible dessert made with layers of chocolate cake, creamy peanut butter, and chopped peanut butter cups—all ‘dumped’ together for a no-fuss, crowd-pleasing treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 (3.9 oz) box instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter, melted
  • 2 cups chopped peanut butter cups (about 16 regular-sized cups)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together chocolate pudding mix and milk until slightly thickened, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Pour pudding mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  4. Drizzle melted peanut butter evenly over the pudding layer.
  5. Sprinkle chopped peanut butter cups across the surface.
  6. Evenly sprinkle dry chocolate cake mix over the entire dish (do not stir).
  7. Drizzle melted butter over the dry cake mix, trying to cover as much of the surface as possible.
  8. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the top is set and edges are bubbling. The center may remain slightly gooey.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving warm with whipped cream or ice cream if desired.

Notes

  • You can use mini peanut butter cups or peanut butter chips as a substitute.
  • Try adding chopped pretzels or peanuts for crunch.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator and reheat in the microwave.
