Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound breakfast sausage (mild or spicy)
- 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough (e.g., Grands)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a mini muffin tin.
- In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease and let cool slightly.
- Cut each biscuit into quarters. Flatten each piece slightly and press into the bottom of each muffin cup, shaping it up the sides.
- In a bowl, mix cooked sausage with shredded cheese, garlic powder, and black pepper.
- Spoon the sausage mixture evenly into each biscuit-lined cup.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Let cool for 2–3 minutes before removing from the tin. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
Notes
- Use spicy sausage for extra kick or maple sausage for a sweet-savory twist.
- Can be made ahead and reheated in the oven or air fryer.
- Serve with dipping sauces like honey mustard or sausage gravy for added flavor.
