Description
This savory Cajun chicken dish features tender, spiced chicken breast served over a rich and creamy Parmesan linguine — a bold and satisfying meal full of flavor and comfort.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 8 oz linguine pasta
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley or basil, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook linguine in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Season both sides of the chicken breasts generously with Cajun seasoning.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for 5–6 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and golden. Remove from pan and let rest.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Pour in chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
- Add heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Stir until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add cooked linguine to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
- Slice chicken and serve over the creamy linguine. Garnish with parsley or basil if desired.
Notes
- Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter sauce.
- Try adding sautéed bell peppers or spinach to the pasta for more color and nutrition.
- You can substitute Cajun seasoning with blackened seasoning or a homemade blend.
