Description

This savory Cajun chicken dish features tender, spiced chicken breast served over a rich and creamy Parmesan linguine — a bold and satisfying meal full of flavor and comfort.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 8 oz linguine pasta
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or basil, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook linguine in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season both sides of the chicken breasts generously with Cajun seasoning.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for 5–6 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and golden. Remove from pan and let rest.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  6. Add heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Stir until cheese is melted and sauce is smooth. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Add cooked linguine to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
  8. Slice chicken and serve over the creamy linguine. Garnish with parsley or basil if desired.

Notes

  • Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter sauce.
  • Try adding sautéed bell peppers or spinach to the pasta for more color and nutrition.
  • You can substitute Cajun seasoning with blackened seasoning or a homemade blend.
