Description

Tender, slow-cooked short rib sliders topped with a tangy balsamic cranberry sauce, perfect for gatherings and flavorful bites.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs beef short ribs
  • 1 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Slider buns, for serving
  • Optional: arugula or baby spinach for topping

Instructions

  1. Season short ribs with salt and pepper.
  2. In a slow cooker, combine balsamic vinegar, cranberries, brown sugar, onion, garlic, and thyme.
  3. Add short ribs and coat with the sauce mixture.
  4. Cook on low for 7-8 hours or until meat is tender and falls apart easily.
  5. Remove short ribs from slow cooker and shred the meat.
  6. Return shredded meat to the slow cooker and mix with the sauce.
  7. Toast slider buns and assemble sliders with shredded short rib and balsamic cranberry sauce. Add arugula or spinach if desired.

Notes

  • Use beef broth or water to thin the sauce if it becomes too thick.
  • Can be made a day ahead and reheated gently.
  • Serve with pickles or coleslaw for extra crunch.
