- 8 oz fettuccine or linguine pasta
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp and set aside.
- Pour heavy cream into the skillet and bring to a simmer.
- Gradually whisk in Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Return shrimp to the skillet and stir to coat in the Alfredo sauce.
- Add cooked pasta and toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately.

- Use freshly grated Parmesan for best flavor and texture.
- For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half.
- Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for some heat.
