Description

A creamy and comforting pasta dish featuring tender shrimp tossed in a rich Alfredo sauce made with butter, cream, and Parmesan cheese. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz fettuccine or linguine pasta
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  4. Pour heavy cream into the skillet and bring to a simmer.
  5. Gradually whisk in Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  6. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Return shrimp to the skillet and stir to coat in the Alfredo sauce.
  8. Add cooked pasta and toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately.
