Description
Sizzling Hibachi Noodles are a Japanese steakhouse-inspired favorite, stir-fried with garlic, soy sauce, butter, and a touch of sweetness. These savory noodles are cooked on high heat to give them that signature hibachi flavor and make a perfect side or main dish when paired with grilled meats or vegetables.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz yakisoba noodles (or lo mein/ramen noodles)
- 2 tbsp sesame oil or vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tbsp teriyaki sauce (optional)
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, teriyaki sauce (if using), and brown sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
- Heat sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add butter and let it melt.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add cooked noodles and toss to coat in the butter and garlic mixture.
- Pour sauce over noodles and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes, letting the sauce thicken slightly and the noodles caramelize a bit.
- Stir in chopped green onions and black pepper. Cook for another minute.
- Remove from heat, garnish with sesame seeds if desired, and serve hot.
Notes
- You can add stir-fried vegetables like mushrooms, zucchini, or bean sprouts to make it a complete meal.
- Top with grilled chicken, shrimp, or steak for a restaurant-style hibachi plate.
- For extra heat, add a dash of sriracha or crushed red pepper flakes to the sauce.
