- 1 lb kielbasa sausage, sliced into 1-inch pieces
- 4 cups green cabbage, chopped
- 4 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Brown the kielbasa slices for 3-4 minutes, then transfer to the slow cooker.
- Add the chopped cabbage, diced potatoes, sliced onion, and minced garlic to the slow cooker.
- Pour in the chicken broth, then sprinkle smoked paprika, salt, and pepper over the ingredients.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the vegetables are tender.
- Stir gently before serving. Adjust seasoning if needed and serve warm.
Notes
- For a thicker broth, remove the lid during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
- Add carrots or celery for extra flavor and texture.
- Serve with crusty bread to soak up the flavorful broth.
