Description

A comforting slow cooker meal featuring savory kielbasa sausage, tender cabbage, and hearty potatoes cooked to perfection in a flavorful broth.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb kielbasa sausage, sliced into 1-inch pieces
  • 4 cups green cabbage, chopped
  • 4 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Brown the kielbasa slices for 3-4 minutes, then transfer to the slow cooker.
  2. Add the chopped cabbage, diced potatoes, sliced onion, and minced garlic to the slow cooker.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth, then sprinkle smoked paprika, salt, and pepper over the ingredients.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the vegetables are tender.
  5. Stir gently before serving. Adjust seasoning if needed and serve warm.

Notes

  • For a thicker broth, remove the lid during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
  • Add carrots or celery for extra flavor and texture.
