Description

Southern Grape Salad is a creamy, sweet, and tangy dessert or side dish made with fresh grapes, cream cheese, and a crunchy brown sugar and pecan topping. It’s a crowd favorite at potlucks, holidays, and BBQs.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds seedless red grapes
  • 2 pounds seedless green grapes
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the grapes thoroughly. Remove stems and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, beat together the cream cheese, sour cream, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  3. Fold in the grapes until fully coated in the creamy mixture.
  4. Transfer the salad to a serving dish. Sprinkle the top evenly with brown sugar and chopped pecans.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to let flavors meld and topping slightly caramelize.

Notes

  • Can be made a day ahead—just add the topping right before serving for best texture.
  • Use all red or all green grapes if preferred.
  • For added crunch, toast the pecans before adding.
