Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups finely shredded green cabbage
- 1 cup finely shredded carrots
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded cabbage and carrots.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss well to coat evenly.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let the flavors meld.
- Give the slaw a good toss before serving and adjust seasoning if needed.
Notes
- For extra crunch, add sliced celery or chopped bell peppers.
- Use Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise for a lighter, tangier version.
- Slaw tastes best if made a few hours or a day in advance to develop flavor.
