- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chunks
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until combined.
- Fold in semi-sweet chocolate chips, milk chocolate chips, and white chocolate chunks.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 9–11 minutes, or until edges are set but centers are still soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Do not overbake – cookies will continue to set as they cool.
- Chill dough for 30 minutes for extra thick cookies.
- You can substitute chocolate types depending on your preference (dark, ruby, caramel chips).
- Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days or freeze for longer storage.
